Best friends?
Despite being different in many ways, Maja and I are best friends. The differences make excellent opportunities for us to tease/pester/torment each other. And we do it all the time. To say that our friendship is based on teasing would be taking it too far, but I think it is like a spice for the friendship. Both of us take it for what it is: a joke, and we have a lot of fun with it! Here is an example from Maja’s homepage. She actually wrote it while talking on the phone with me.
“Listening to Enya and country will higher your gymclothes tolerance level. First, you will start wearing gymclothes in public without actually intending to going to the gym. Tracksuits, sweatsuits, and god forbid, adidas-slippers. With white socks. You will feel sporty and laid-back. You will look redicioulus. I will not admit to know you.”
Meanwhile, Maja, here’s a disturbing peak into your future:
Having children will also affect your gym clothes tolerance level. You will start wearing gymclothes in public, you will praise whoever invented adidas-slippers, you will frequently use the statement “They’re just so damn comfortable” and you will agree with me when I say that high-heels come from hell. You will feel comfortable and laid back. When your children are grown up, you will resent yourself for it and you will become obsessed with looking cool and modern. You will by then be an old woman, and it will look pathetic. I will deny any knowledge of you, happily clad in my brand new jogging suit.
I’m just kidding of course:)
